Carmen Stevens Julie Rose 2022

Carmen Stevens Julie Rose 2022

Winemaking

The juice for the Julie Rose is a result of the saignée method employed in the cellar. Juice is settled overnight at low cooling temperatures. We select a specific pure yeast culture to eliminate any risk during fermentation. The Julie Rose is cleaned straight after fermentation to ensure the purity of fruit on the nose and palate. The Julie Rose is bottled mid-year of production to ensure the inviting primary fruit is captured.

Tasting Notes

This rosé exhibits an inviting light-reddish coral colour. The nose is echoed by a light and limey feel, followed by raspberries, quince, and watermelon fruit. The palate is light and elegant, limes and watermelon swings onto the palate and ends with a zesty feel. The aftertaste leaves the impression of sweetness and carries a mineral, smoky element on the finish.
