Lammershoek Terravinum Reserve White 2016

Lammershoek Terravinum Reserve White 2016

Winemaking

Our winemaker selected the best Chenin Blanc, Viognier and Chardonnay from various pockets of grapes and batches in the cellar to craft this elegant, well-rounded and terroir-expressive wine. The white grape blending components for this flavourful wine, all derive from well-aged vineyards using the 3 varietals. As per normal practice on Lammershoek, they are farmed dry-land. Selected grapes from various vineyard pockets were handpicked early morning. The three cultivars were handled separately in the cellar and the final blend was only made-up after eight months of aging. Meanwhile, the wines had been fermented and aged in various size concrete and stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. A year of bottle-aging followed before release.

Tasting Notes

Stone fruits, pears, peaches and citrusy notes with a hint of floral tones. Seductive kick of acidity on the pallet which magnifies the notes of peach, lime and adds floral and wood undertone. A great use of oak to give this a complex, crisp and dry finish.
