Meinert ‘Le-La Berry’ Rosé 2024

Meinert ‘Le-La Berry’ Rosé 2024

Winemaking

The Shiraz grapes for this wine were sourced from our sister property, Fleurbaix, located in Die Boord, Stellenbosch, an area aptly named “The Orchard.” Harvested early in the morning of 23 March 2024, the grapes were gently whole-bunch pressed that same morning, ensuring a pale pink expression with beautifully perfumed, fruit-driven aromatics. A cool fermentation (12-14˚C) preserved the wine’s vibrancy and freshness. Following fermentation, the wine spent five months in contact with the lees at low temperatures, adding richness and texture to the midpalate. This maiden vintage was bottled in September 2024, with a total production of 3,500 bottles.

Tasting Notes

Filled with rich, ripe red fruity flavours, a touch of oak and plums. Velvet chocolate on the palate with a savoury finish. Easy drinking social wine.
