Wellington ‘Duke’ White Pinotage 2025

Wellington Wines ‘Duke’ White Pinotage 2025

Winemaking

Grapes were picked at optimum ripeness. After de-stalking and crushing, the juice was separated from the skins. Only the 1st portion of the free-run juice was utilised to ensure minimal colour extraction from the red grapes. Fermentation took place at 13°C for a period of 2 weeks, after which the wine was fined, cold-stabilized and filtered prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes

A pale copper hue with inviting aromas of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, red apple, and white peach. It offers a soft and rounded mouthfeel with excellent palate weight. Flavors of red apple, peach, cherry, and berry fruit are balanced by lively acidity. The finish is vibrant and lingering, marked by red stone and berry fruit notes with a subtle cinnamon spice kick. This wine is refreshing, elegant, and displays fine fruit purity with finesse, making it an appealing expression of White Pinotage.
