Meinert La Barry ‘Red’ 2018

Meinert La Barry ‘Red’ 2019

Winemaking

After meticulous bunch and berry sorting, the individual cultivars are vinified separately with fermentation taking place in stainless tanks and thereafter the components are matured in a selection of French oak barriques for up to two years. Once the individual components have been blended, the wine is lightly filtered prior bottling. Named after my wife Leigh Ann Barry, for whom this wine was made as a wedding gift. It has also been referred to as “La Barry Lobola”. It is our “house wine”.

Tasting Notes

Filled with rich, ripe red fruity flavours, a touch of oak and plums. Velvet chocolate on the palate with a savoury finish. Easy drinking social wine.
