Meinert ‘La Berry’ White Blend 2025

Meinert La Berry White Blend 2025

Winemaking

The Semillon component was made from hand-harvested, sun-kissed golden bunches, whole-bunch pressed and fermented in a selection of seasoned French oak barrels. The Sauvignon Blanc hails from our Elgin vineyards and arrived at the winery via refrigerated truck to preserve its pristine condition. We applied three techniques to extract complexity. One-third received 24 hours of skin contact. A second batch was crushed and pressed immediately. The final portion was whole-bunch pressed. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures to retain freshness and vibrancy. The wine then spent eight months on the lees at cool temperatures to enhancing mid-palate richness and texture. As a final flourish, we added a touch of old-vine Chenin Blanc — just enough to round off the blend with grace and gravitas.

Tasting Notes

Delicate aromas of elderflower, citrus blossom, and subtle herbaceous notes draw you in. The palate is textured yet vibrant, offering both freshness and finesse. With aging, elegant mineral and flinty characteristics develop, adding complexity. This wine invites patience to fully appreciate its evolution and refined structure.
