Meinert ‘Le Berry‘ Red Blend NV

Winemaking

Le Berry Red – a sumptuous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon  (44%); Pinotage (41%) and Merlot (15%). After meticulous bunch and berry sorting, individual cultivars are vinified separately – fermentation undertaken with natural (native) yeasts in stainless tanks and gentle pump overs during the course of fermentation ensuring optimal colour and flavour extraction. Thereafter, the individual components are matured in a selection of French oak barriques for up to two years. After blending of the individual components, the wine is lightly filtered prior bottling.

Tasting Notes

This wine offers an elegant and sumptuous expression with generous aromas of ripe red and black berries, seamlessly intertwined with subtle oak-derived notes of coconut and butterscotch. The palate is rounded and succulent, featuring juicy, supple tannins that enhance the wine’s silky texture and approachable nature. There is a refined balance of fruit richness and oak complexity, delivering an enduring finish marked by elegance and finesse.
