Winemaking

The grapes are harvested from soils that are mainly decomposed granite and glenrosa. The vines are in natural balance, giving a low yield of 7 tons per hectare to enhance fruit complexity. Matured for 12 months in French oak with further ageing in the bottle.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet in colour, this expressive Pinotage captivates from the first swirl. Aromas of ripe red berries and dark chocolate intertwine with alluring notes of red velvet cake, sour cherry, and a touch of kirsch. On the palate, it reveals layers of spice, black pepper, and subtle liquorice, adding intrigue and depth. Medium-bodied yet richly textured, it strikes a beautiful balance between fruit purity and savoury complexity, finishing smooth and gracefully lingering — a true celebration of South Africa’s signature varietal.
