Winemaking

The grapes are harvested from soils that are mainly decomposed granite and glenrosa. The vines are in natural balance, giving a low yield of 7 tons per hectare to enhance fruit complexity. Matured for 12 months in French oak with further ageing in the bottle.

Tasting Notes

This wine shows voluptuous bouquet of plentiful aromas. The nose is spicy with hint of white pepper, cloves, fresh tobacco and violets. The palate shows tones of mulberries, cherries and fynbos, while the structure is broad with delicate tannins and a lengthy finish.
