Wellington ‘Duke No 18’ Cab. Sauvignon 2020

Wellington Wines ‘Duke No 18’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Winemaking

A selection of different pre-selected vineyards. The grapes were picked at optimum maturity and fermented dry on the skin at 25 degrees Celsius. Thereafter the free run portion was aged in oak barrels for 12 months.

Tasting Notes

Shows a deep dark red color and complex aromas of red berries, bramble, smoke, and subtle wood spices. On the palate, it is juicy and accessible with fine, crunchy tannins supporting a plush fruit core. The wine has a firm structure balanced by refined oak influence, resulting in a lingering and elegant finish. This expression offers both depth and approachability, making it ideal for rich meat dishes and classic pairings.
