Wellington Wines ‘Duke No 9’ Shiraz 2020

Winemaking

A selection of different pre-selected vineyards. The grapes were picked at optimum maturity and fermented dry on the skin at 26 degrees Celsius. Thereafter the free run portion was aged in oak barrels for 12-14 months.

Tasting Notes

Warm nutty aromas are nuanced with hints of wood smoke and spice. The palate reveals ripe red berry fruit balanced by smooth, structured tannins. It is a well-rounded wine with depth and complexity, finishing with harmonious balance and subtle spice warmth.
